Bike Ride 2

4/29/20

David: Bike Ride 2 was the start of my more adventurous rides. Bike Ride 2 marked the beginning of my ventures out of my neighborhood, and into other neighboring areas and cities. There aren't a lot of cars here, but this was a great ride.

4/15/20 - 1977 Chevy Monte Carlo and a K-5 Blazer

This is sort of a precursor to Bike Ride 2.  Here we have a 1977 Chevy Monte Carlo and in the background is a K-5 Blazer.  I remember riding around near the train tracks and finding these at an old garage near Park Ave. in Cranston.

2021 Update: These cars can also be seen again with better camera angles in Bike Ride 7.

2022 Update: Also check out Bike Ride 19 for even better camera angles >:)

1976 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme

The first car spotted on ride 2. I saw this out of the corner of my eye near the previous photo of the Monte and the Blazer. This was at a different garage though. It appears to be having some sort of suspension problem, but other than that, the car appears to be in decent shape.

Sam: I think the visible suspension lean is due to a dip in the parking lot.  This car sold on FB marketplace this past year (2022), and from what I recall, it was sitting level from the photos.  I think they were selling it as a running and driving, registered car.

2021 Update: This car can also be seen again with better camera angles in Bike Ride 7.

1982 Chevy Corvette Collector's Edition

I found this old 'Vette in Providence, RI. I believe this was off Elmwood Ave. This is a really decent C3 Corvette, although it appears to have flat tires. I love the rims that they put on these early 80s GM cars. I think they put them on the Montes too from this era.

Andy's East Coast Speed Classics

Left to Right: 1957 Plymouth Savoy, 1974 Chevy Monte Carlo, and a 1980s Oldsmobile Cutlass

Here's three cars in one photo. We have a 1957 Plymouth Savoy, a 1974 Chevy Monte Carlo, and an 80s Olds Cutlass. These were all spotted at Andy's East Coast Speed on Elmwood Ave. in Cranston. And remember this place, because we'll be coming back here again in plenty more collections.

The Monte can also be seen again more in depth in the Late Summer Cars Pt. 1 entries.

The '57 Plymouth can be seen again in Bike Ride 18
