SC Bike Path Ride 2
4/12/22
David: I once again return to the bike path to get some fresh air and find more cars. Although I didn't find much as last time, I found a lot of uncommon and forgotten cars, as well as quite possibly the nicest Volkswagen I've ever seen, if the title cover didn't give it away already.
1992 Chevy G-20 Conversion Van
We start things off with another dying breed of car: the conversion van. These aren't as popular anymore, probably because it's cheaper to buy a minivan or SUV, but you get a lot more space with one of these living rooms on wheels. This is a more simplified version of one, but you could get conversion vans with all sorts of fancy options.
Above and Left: 1978 Volkswagen Type 2 Kombi Bus w/ Westfalia Camper Top
Continuing on with vans, here is a gorgeous '70s VW Type 2 bus, complete with the Westfalia camper top. The lime green paint was super captivating, and this is in my top 10 list of best cars I've ever photographed. The pictures do not do this justice, what more can I say.
JDM Suzuki Carry 4x4 Minitruck
We return to George's once again, and here we have a Suzuki Carry Minitruck. These are true JDM vehicles, and are only available via importing, so seeing one in the US is often a rare sight.
Remains of a 1964 Ford Mustang Notchback
At the end of the lot at George's was the remains of this early '60s Mustang. This 'Stang has seen better days for sure, but maybe it'll be rescued. I bet some parts were used off of it to restore the black Mustang, seen in SC Bike Path Ride 1.
