The Cars of Edgewood

8/27/22

David: I was with my friend biking in the Edgewood area of Cranston, and on our ride we stumbled upon some cool street parked classics. A lot of these cars are old daily drivers that are now becoming a rare sight. We did find a lot of Miatas, which is always a welcomed surprise.

Above and Left: 1985 Mercedes Benz 300 TD Turbo Diesel Wagon (S123)

I love these old Turbo Diesel Mercedes. This is the more collectible wagon version, which is not as common as the regular turbo diesel sedans. I see this car around town occasionally, but was definitely surprised to see it parked on the side of the road. I had previously made an attempt to document it on an earlier spring bike ride, but it was driving, and the picture quality wouldn't have come out as good as these.

1991 Mazda MX-5 NA Miata

You can actually see this Miata in the side shot of the turbo diesel wagon. It's a completely stock Miata, which is pretty rare these days since most of them are modded out. Nevertheless, I love seeing these, and there will be plenty more to come in the future.

Just a classic truck doing its job. This old C-10 has seen some better days, but is still running. It's got some serious patina going on too, but I love it because its still going.

Another Mazda Mx-5 Miata in Red

Another classic Miata. "Shot on iPhone." My crappy iPhone camera doesn't work at night like they advertise.
