Stay tuned! We got lots of cars coming your way this Spring!
This was spotted in Providence, one day. It's condition, and the fact that it was a classic Saab led to my decision to photograph it. Hopefully, this Saab keeps transporting its owner in style for many years to come.
I saw this one morning as I was heading to school to take my final exams. Someone's grandfather was giving them a stylish ride to class. I never saw the caddy again after this photo was taken, but that's no surprise seeing I graduated a few weeks after the photo was taken.
This was shot by my dad when he was filling up one day.
2022 update: Don't you miss when gas was $2.63??
Driving back from school, I saw this '66 Fairlane. It looks pretty much stock, aside from the donked out rims that look alright on this car. I'm not the biggest fan of donk culture, but I can respect it because they keep classic cars on the road and running.
I saw this at work on break, and took it through the window. That will help explain why there's a weird tint to the photo. Nonetheless, this is another neighborhood classic that I occasionally see roaming the streets of Cranston. I really hope I can someday get better shots of this car because it is a really clean example of a classic Volvo.
2022 Update: I saw this car again at work! Unfortunately, I was actually working this time, so I couldn't go out and check it out. I hope to catch it again soon before the winter.
Is this ultimate Panther Platform car? The Mercury Marauder is one of the most underrated cars of the 2000s and is often forgotten about. Ironically its overshadowed by its cousin, the P-71 Crown Vic. But what if you could have a more fancier P-71, and have some nice rims and an exhaust to go with it? Well, get a Marauder! I saw this biking around my neighborhood. It's not a native to my neighborhood, but it appears every so often. This is also the first Marauder I've ever seen, so I was pretty excited when I saw it.
Well, well, well. Look who decided to show back up. I swear, every other person in Cranston must own one of these because they're everywhere. I'm not complaining though, I do enjoy a nice C4 'Vette sighting.
This old Swedish workhorse is one road worn Volvo, but don't let that fool you! The great thing about these old Volvo bricks is that they will never die on you, and I still see this car everywhere.
This car is actually one of a handful I saw at a show at the New England Wireless and Steam Museum in East Greenwich, RI. It's a cool place, and I would definitely recommend checking them out if you can.
This was a cool find. You don't see too many of these trucks still on the road, let alone in this condition. This one was only doing light duty (a grocery run) in Providence when I spotted it.
The last of the pre-GM era Saabs! The Saab 9-5 wagon or Sportcombi is one of my favorite modern Saabs made. It's a very reliable and fast car, powered by the Saab 2.3L engine, with the turbo of course. This is the same engine used in the classic Saab 9000s. I saw this on the way to a track meet for my high school. This 9-5 shows its age though, but don't let that paint fade fool you, these will run forever.
I saw this driving through Pawtuxet Village in Warwick. I like it, but you can't beat a stock Wagoneer.
This was a car I spotted while walking one night in Providence. The wet pavement and streetlamp glow gave the car a cool appearance that I failed miserably to capture on my cheap phone. I was going for a Langdon Clay-esque "Cars of New York," but it didn't really work out.
I would consider this truck another example of a classic still hard at work. It's not in the best overall condition, but the rust has mostly spared it. The cool and rare-ish thing about this rig is that it's equipped with an inline 6 engine as opposed to the more common V8 squarebodies that seem to get more attention.
This car has quite the story. I first remember this car when my neighbor bought as a cruiser, but never really drove it much. He held on to it for a few years before listing it for sale around my Freshman year of high school, and then it disappeared for a while. It reappeared at this Applebee's in Cranston, and it hasn't changed a bit.
2022 Update: I have not seen this car since this night, but my eyes are always peeled.
This is another car I remember from a long time ago. I used to see this car all the time on my way up to my Grandmother's house in Warwick. The owner would always have it outside, and that bright Rally Red paint was so hard to miss. Eventually the car either sold, or he started parking it indoors, so I didn't see it for a while. The car made its way to this garage in Cranston, called Frank's Auto Top, where I finally saw it. It still looks just as good as it did all those years ago.
I saw this car a couple times over the Summer of 2021. The owner must have been an employee at one of the stores in the nearby strip mall since the car was parked in the same spot every time I saw it. As far as NE cars go, it's in good shape with very little rust. Of course, there's the usual bumper filler plastic rot and an oopsie on the passenger side fender, but nothing too major as far as bodywork is concerned. I'm not really digging the aftermarket rims, but hey, someone cares enough about this car to keep it around as a daily driver. I still have to give this car hooptie status because of the spare battery sitting in the passenger seat.
This Caprice can be seen again in Mid Winter Finds '23.
