Bike Ride 11
8/30/21
David: With my move in day for college right around the corner, I decided to do one last ride around the neighborhood. Sticking close to my area this time, I revisited a few local classics and discovered a few new ones on some side streets.

I always swing by this car whenever I start a bike ride. As I mentioned, it's been here since I was a kid, and has always been in this condition. Here, you get to see some better angles of it, and you can see that it really isn't a bad car. It could just benefit from a nice power wash.
2022 Update: Unfortunately, a little after this bike ride, the car was listed, and sold, marking its departure from my neighborhood. It will be never be forgotten. Hopefully its gone to get a second life.

Next to the 122 was this 940 wagon. This, with the 122, has been here for a while as well, and I think the owner may have had another white 240 wagon, because what Volvo enthusiast wouldn't have one. Anyways, it appears to be receiving maintenance, and is probably a daily driver for the owner. Good choice because, like the 240, these are another great Volvo brick.
2022 Update: Like the 122, this was also listed and sold later after this entry. I believe the owner said it had over 300k miles on it.
Above: 2000 Chevy S-10 LS 5MT
Nothing special here, just a regular S-10 pickup with a 5 speed manual.
Above and Left: 1999 Saab 9-5 w/ Rare Saab-Scania Badging
1999 was the first year the Saab 9-5 was brought to production in the US. Since it was one of the last true Saabs before GM took over completely in 2000. The first gen Saab 9-5 and 9-3 were the last of the Saabs to be designed by Saab themselves. This 9-5 still has the Saab-Scania badging when Saab still had joint ownership with Scania AB, another automotive company based in Sweden.
1996 Nissan D-21/Pathfinder Hardbody Pickup
Here's a cool '80s pickup, a Nissan D-21 "Hardbody." This one is a rare find that isn't very rusty. Like early Toyota Tacomas, these fell victim to New England winters and suffered the inevitable fate of rust and rot. This one though has been nicely preserved, and still has its cool graphics on the side. Awesome little truck.
1968 Ford Mustang Coupe
This is a neighborhood classic I had never seen before in my life. It's a completely stock Ford Mustang that looks to be a '68 or possibly a '67 model. That sky blue looks gorgeous on it.

This poor Buick has seen some better days.
Above: 1977 Buick Regal Landau
Malaise Madness! This is a newer neighborhood classic that popped up this Spring. It originally had some custom rims on it, but the owner has switched them back to stock rims, which look nice on this car. This is in remarkable shape and is complete with the Landau top!
