Sam's visit to the A&W "Tuesday Cruise In" car show. The A&W is a small diner located off Rt. 44 in Smithfield, RI.
Setting the scene for the show with an opening shot.
This is an original Rhode Island survivor, owned by the host and DJ of the A&W Cruise-ins.
This car is an original survivor, complete with original worn interior and rusty rockers. It's been spotted at both A&W Cruise-in's since this one, and it's unfortunately acquired a dent in the driver's side fender. Fortunately, I think it will eventually get restored due to its fairly solid condition and rarity.
From back to front: Willys Wagon (Gray), Chevy Cavalier (blue), Chevy El Camino (maroon), Pontiac Solstice (red), Stevens-Duryea (gold).
You still see a few of these around, and I know of at least three other examples local to me.
A very clean example of a once-common car.
Apparently this guy didn't want to pay the exhibitors' fee, so he briefly parked his car in the patrons' lot before leaving the show.
