Connecticut International Auto Show 2022

11/11/22

David: One rainy Friday, I attended the Connecticut International Auto Show, which showcased upcoming models from major auto manufacturers and historical models from their pasts. At this auto show, I was able to see and go inside a lot of the new cars offered from Toyota, Mercedes, Jaguar, and much more. I was quite impressed with the cars at the show, as they featured many unique and surprising features in their interiors, not to mention some very attractive styling and comfort. You might find my reaction a bit surprising as I have frequently discussed how classic styling in cars from the past is something we will never see again. I was surprised too, and maybe for good reason as you'll come to see. While the cars of our past were designed for comfort and smooth rides, it's no secret that today's cars are designed for performance and ease of driving. I will elaborate more in the entries below, but I would like to start off by saying, yes, I am very excited for the future of cars... design wise! Am I excited for the amazing reliability and AI driving envisioned? I don't believe so, but who knows, maybe time will tell. For convenience, I have divided this up into two sections, with the new cars first and old cars second, going in order as I found them.
