Spring Car Spotting
4/1/20 to 6/2/20
Here is a collection of photos from the Spring of 2020. We also have our first few entries from Sam!
4/1/20 - 1965 Plymouth Valiant Spotted in Philadelphia, PA (Sam)
This car was sent to me by my uncle, who lives in Philly. He had a '60s Valiant awhile back, and this one reminded him of his old car. This one looks to be in nice shape with what looks like a recent repaint. I like the thin white walls it's got on it.
Above: (April 2020) - Classic Chevy Parade (Sam)
Left to Right: 1968 Camaro, 1953 Bel Air, and a 1979 Corvette C3
This was actually part of a Covid birthday party for a kid on my grandmother's street. Remember the days when everyone was having drive-by parties? Well, this was one of them. I managed to get shots (albeit not the best quality) from my grandmother's screened-in porch.
5/13/20 - 1962 Mercury Comet (David)
Here we have a 1962 Mercury Comet in the process of being restored. It looks to be a roller as the front end is sitting way up high, and there is a rock stopping the car from rolling away. I think this car has been restored, but I will have to check up on it in the future.
The car next to it is an Olds Cutlass from around 1970 to '72. It was completely covered, so I couldn't get a shot, but I did see some of the tail lights to confirm it was an Olds Cutlass.
5/13/20 - 1961 Ford Galaxie Sedan (David)
This car has seen better days. This is a 1961 Ford Galaxie with some serious patina going on. I found this car sitting beside a garage, and I think its been there since this photo was taken. The interior appears to be in good condition, so one can only assume this guy loves patina.
5/24/20 - 1983 Chevy El Camino (David)
This won't be the last time you a 5th gen El Camino on this page, so here is one in green.
6/2/20 - 1971 Chevy C-10 Stepside and a 1990 Volvo 240 Sedan (David)
I ventured into Downtown Providence and on my way out I saw this. Here we have a 1971 Chevy C-10 Stepside, and in the background is a Volvo 240. I didn't notice the 240 until Sam pointed it out after I sent it to him.
Also if you remember this date, you remember what was going on during this time. This ride will forever be one of the most memorable rides I've been on, whether it was a good time in our nations history or not.
