Mid Summer Cars

7/20/20 to 8/7/20

Mid summer included a few cool finds, like these Mustangs on the cover of this page. We also found some odd balls, some more Corvettes, and some more Volvo 240s.

Above: (7/20/20) - 1965 Ford Mustang (David)

This car is so clean. Sadly you can't really tell from the picture quality, but this isn't the last time you'll see this car on here. That orange is just so nice. Not sure if it's a factory color, but it is a beautiful car.

This car can be seen again in better detail in Bike Ride 8.

7/20/20 - 1976 Chevy Corvette (C3) (David)

This looks to be a '75 or a '76 car. We promised you more C3 Vettes, and don't worry this isn't the last time you'll see one.

7/20/20 - 1967 Triumph GT6 (David)

It took us a long time to identify what this car was. I originally thought it was an MG GT fastback, I was close, but I eventually figured out what it was. Super cool car, and a rare sight.

Above: (7/21/20) - A Vacant Lot of Classics (David)

Left to Right: 1969 Buick Electra Convertible (Red), Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham Limo (Dark blue), and a Ford B-Series panel van (White)

These were spotted in the same lot. The red car is a 1969 Buick Electra Convertible, that looks to be receiving restoration, but in overall good shape. Pretty cool. In the second photo is an '80s Cadillac Fleetwood Limo and a fifth generation (1967 - 1979) Ford B-Series Van, which makes for a pretty interesting lot of cars.

Update: The Electra has vanished from the lot, but the Ford and the Caddy remain.

7/27/20 - A Pair of 1968 Ford Mustangs (David)

What a find. My mom found these while out in Warwick, and sent these in. Both for sale too. I think the rims that both of these cars have are my favorite rims that Ford ever put on the Mustang. Thanks mom for the finds!

7/31/20 - 1989 Ford Crown Victoria (David)

I think the picture speaks for itself, but I kind of like it. Its clearly a beater Crown Vic, but why do those rims work? WHY?

8/7/20 - Volvo 240 Daily Driver (David)

This car is a daily driver around Cranston, as I've seen this one around. This is a really great car to have as a daily driver since they last forever and are very safe vehicles compared to other cars of its time period. Once again, this isn't the end of 240s on this page either, there's more to come.

August 2020 - 1966 Lincoln Continental Hardtop (Sam)

This showed up while I was mowing the grass one day at my grandmother's house.  It belonged to a friend of the neighbor across the street, and he'd just picked it up when this photo was taken.  There was some rot in the rear quarters, but the rest of the car was in great shape.  He planned to go through it and completely restore it.  The car was also on air bags, and it had a pretty mean stance when I first saw it parked.
